Old Age Allowance

In 1997-1998, the State 'Boyskata' program was introduced to improve the dignity of the family and society in the social security system of the country's elderly destitute and disabled people. Initially 10 poor senior citizens including male and 5 female wards from all members of the country were brought to pay allowance at the rate of Tk 100 per month. Later all municipalities and city corporations of the country were covered under this programme.
